• I have transferred my entire website [ redundant link deleted ] to Namecheap.com by an extesion resource saver on chrome by a single file index.html and my website is live and pointing towards their server.

My problem is that my wordpress dasboard did not show any plugins, themes, pages, etc., and i have deleted the default pages, plugins and posts from there.

The Namecheap support staff has said that index.php file has to be replaced but I don’t know how to do that.

    Can anybody help with that.

    Regards,

    Aquil

I don’t really understand the issue. If I understand correctly, you transferred your website from another host to the new one. To do this, you used an extension for your Chrome browser. And this extension only creates an index.html file for your website. Is that correct?

Then all you really need to do is store this data on your new host. However, this has nothing to do with WordPress. Therefore, it would be helpful if you could describe in more detail..

    • What was your website built with previously?
    • How did you transfer it?
    • What is the problem now?

Sorry, I have to write the whole details. The extension has created a whole zip file of my website which was live at that time but now it is not working properly.

This zip folder do conatins several other sub folders containing file types as txt, fif, json, WOFF, other index files and much more.

But there may be a problem as the process I already explained was done on localhost but now the attached mp4 file will clear the picture. My host Namecheap.com has said to replace the index.php file.

It was builton bosa theme and the wordpress dashboard has had numerous plugins installed. Elementor, elementor pro, WP form7, woo commerce, and others.

The attached clip shows website but with numrous errors like image containers, titles and like wise but not the website is in real state as my WordPress dashboard does not show any add-on features

I think you may be able to diagnose the problem now.

    Thanks for your reply.

the attached mp4 file will clear the picture.

Unfortunately, you did not share the file publicly in Google Drive, so the link requires a login to view. Consequently, no one here can watch your video.

The extension has created a whole zip file of my website which was live at that time but now it is not working properly.

I’m curious, which Chrome extension is this?

Your website’s homepage has resources with URLs beginning with http://localhost/MyTestWebsite/, which, obviously, doesn’t work on the Internet. And behind this broken homepage is what seems like a fresh WordPress installation: https://aquilbiz.com/2025/08/16/hello-world/

So this was definitely a botched transfer.

I’ll recommend you start over, and, this time, use a WordPress migration plugin (rather than this mysterious Chrome extension) to safely migrate your local WordPress site to your NameCheap account: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search/migration/

    Good luck!
