How to decrease page width in Raindrops Theme

Hello everyone

I am really hoping I can get the help on here I need. I have taken on the task of updating our club website. Its something I have very little knowledge of. I am using Raindrops theme. I have added the necessary pages, etc. that we will be using. I have 2 problems:

1. I would like to have a border on my home page rather than use
the full width of the screen. There is an option in the theme
for fluid or 950 centered, etc. At the minute I have gone for
fluid because when I select centered it puts the header over to

2. Also I have put a few widgets into my default sidebar but as you
can see they are showing up at the bottom of the screen.

I would really appreciate any help I can be given. I know how to open up the editor, etc, so Im not totally blind to it all.
