I can’t eliminate the plugin, it has been deactivated but when I try to delete it its telling me that its not possible when the plugin is active on the main site.
    What should i do?

that sounds like you’re using it on a multi-site installation grazia1969, so if you want to remove you’ll have to ensure it’s inactive on all subsites (this is not Autoptimize but WordPress core actually).

    hope this helps,

Hi Frank, thanks for your prompt reply. There are subdomains connected to the main site (separate wordpress installed sites) but Autoptimize plugin it’s installed only on the main site.

Alse the plugin is deactivated but I can still see that is working on the page – on the top bar with cache information

Might be a problem with object caching (memcache/ redis) maybe? If not I’m afraid I have no idea what is going on there grazia1969; deactivating and deleting a plugin is WordPress core functionality and the error you got is not coming from Autoptimize .. :-/
