how to do certain layout adjustments?

    Pretty basic stuff here; I’m trying to adjust a couple style and layout things:
    1) the space between columns (is this in Nextgen or do I have to manually adjust the css paddings?)
    2) Adjusting number of columns – I found a place to modify this: Gallery Settings > NextGen Basic Thumbnails, but it didn’t have any effect.
    Don’t really understand why style and layout is not completely easy and obvious.

    Hi @chris ! You’ve found just where we have our layout settings for our Basic thumbnail gallery: http://screencast.com/t/RqCdu78vsxYg You can choose how many images per page (if you want pagination) and how many columns. The padding depends on how many columns and how wide the page is.

    More controlled spacing is found in other gallery displays in our other plugins.
