@loui That’s an interesting way to display the sitemap. I don’t think that will be added to the free version but I’ll try and get it in the Pro version that’s coming out very soon.

Using a ‘short code’ could just stick it into a text box or bottom of the front page footer. What is nice would be it just word-wraps automatically, so it can accommodate any width of page or column.

Looks like you streamlined the code – kudos! Love the plugin!!
One problem after upgrading from 1.65 to 1.81 – I can’t make a (2) column layout for posts and pages any more.
You originally wrapped each listing in a div, for example #ss_pages and #ss_posts. The div included the <h2> header as well as the <ul> list.
Now, you give each list a class, for example .simple-sitemap-post and .simple-sitemap-page, but the <h2> header is no longer wrapped in a dive with the list. 🙁
Not that a single column layout looks bad, but it would be nice to choose like before (hint).

Hi Doug,
If I remember correctly 2-column support was dropped because the plugin supported custom post types and so you could potentially have multiple columns, which would have been awkward to cater for an arbitrary number of columns.
I have almost completed the pro version which allows a wrappable column system that supports a flexible amount of columns. There is also an option to display the sitemap in tabs with each post type in a separate tab. It looks really nice.
I’m hoping to release the pro version very soon. Perhaps this month, or early January.
