how to exclude Basic meta from a product?

    I set up a basic meta personalization for category coffeemugs
    I have about 2000 plus mugs on my website
    some of these mugs do not need personalization and some need a different kind of personalization
    when I go to edit a product that does not need the meta personalization PPOM dropdown shows “none” but the meta personalization is still on the frontend.
    I have screenshots that would explain this better but see no way to attach the screenshots to this support request.
    can someone please help me?

    Hi,

    It seems you have applied the PPOM via categories as well. Make sure you don’t add categories slug in meta.
