Hi there,
The error message indicates a problem with your WordPress scheduler.
It’s not directly related to our plugin, it’s an issue with WordPress itself.
Often the issue does originate from issues with hosting configuration.
The hosting should provide support to you and help resolve the issue.
Best regards,
Nick
Hello,
Hosting said that they don’t see any error in their logs
and
because I have 4 WordPress sites that have no such errors, they said that this problem of plugin settings.
Error pointing to miss schedule occurred in the biggest sides (about 40 GB).
Is this plugin could handle the bigger sides efficiently?
Thanks.
Hi there,
Yes, it’s quite possible that the problem won’t show up in your hosting logs.
The root cause of this isn’t a plugin related issue, as the error message states:
“WordPress has a number (36) of scheduled tasks which are overdue. Unless this is a development site, this means that the scheduler in your WordPress install is not working properly.”
Unlike your hosting we don’t have access to your server and can’t ask for this.
There is a helpful guide linked below which offers up troubleshooting options.
https://teamupdraft.com/documentation/updraftplus/topics/general/troubleshooting/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-missed-schedule-error/
As long as the server resources are sufficient the plugin can handle large sites.
You will need to address the schedule issue for your backups to run correctly.
Best regards,
Nick
Hello,
you wrote: “Unlike your hosting we don’t have access to your server and can’t ask for this.”
I’ve contacted with hosting and got the answer as below:
//the answer from hosting
“1. I followed the steps provided in the official Updraft plugin link:
https://teamupdraft.com/documentation/updraftplus/topics/general/troubleshooting/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-missed-schedule-error/
Still, it is showing the same error.
2. I have cleared the performance cache of the website.
3. I have then tried reinstalling wordpress core files
4. I have also tried to disable other plugins one by one and verified it did not work. I have reverted changes. The website and dashboard is exactly like before troubleshooting.
It is advisable to contact your plugin vendor or webmaster to rectify the issue”.
My hosting is still using PHP 7 but they are going to install PHP 8. even so the time frame for updating is not known.
Could this outdated version of PHP be a problem or they need to do something else to fix this issue with schedule ?
Thanks.
