    I was about to install this plugin when I saw the bad reviews. I don’t mind paying for a plugin that works, even if $3 per month is a bit overpriced in my opinion.

    What concerned me were the reported performance issues and the fact that the plugin hasn’t been updated in over a year. So I decided to find ways of replicating the functionality of this plugin by leveraging the WordPress API and hooks. I documented the relatively easy process in a blog post:
