I want to add an instruction panel above the directory submit to help people fill in the form. But it makes no difference where I place the instructions (before or after the [directory_submit]) – the page still renders with the intro at the bottom of the page and out of sight way below the fold.

How can I force the shortcode to render AFTER the custom introduction?

Update: just putting the intro copy first worked on the Directory page.

But, even when I tried to add a div around the intro on the submit page, it simply will not render before the plugin’s form

    Thanks for using our plugin.

I’ll have to look into a quick fix for this until we can update our template structure. I’ll try to get back to you later this week.

No, no… thank you for making it available and for supporting it so well.

woops, I got confused. I thought the issue had corrected itself but I was looking at the page that was working. This is the page in question:

I think it has something to do with the shortcode [directory_submit].result on Publish and Update [jumpshare link: https://jumpshare.com/v/IYxCb6aSDAkpJB1uvvcJ+/sumit-listing.png ]

I have had many attempts on the actual page and on several new pages. It does not matter if the page has the shortcode only or if it has extra copy — Publish and Update both return an unformatted page in the WP backend and the favicon that shows is from the hosting company and not from the site.

The page does update or publish from the frontend but nothing can be done with the returned page in the dashboard.

Please can you help? It’s been a few days since I posted this issue.

I apologize. We actually have a new programmer and it took some time to get everyone up to date. This issue with the content added above or below our shortcode has been on our list of bugs to resolve. We hope to have the fix in the next update.

Well, it would have been nice if you’d told me that a month ago. I have no trouble accepting the situation, but being informed would have been better than being in the dark.

On topic: it’s so strange that copy-above works fine on one page but not on the other. Hope you can work up a solution.

I’ve confirmed we’ve addressed the issue for the submissions page. You can use the file here: https://github.com/lddweb/ldd-directory-lite/blob/master/includes/shortcodes/_submit.php, until we get the new update released.
