How to increase “Updraft’s temporary directory” ?
-
Hello! I need to make bigger zip files. How do I increase the space to increase this value?
“Free space on disk containing Updraft’s temporary directory:”
My plan is plenty of disk space.
Thanks

“Web-server disk space in use by UpdraftPlus” – This is how much space on your server the backups are taking up. There is no maximum size, generally this is as much as you/your hosting will allow.
Hello!
What my hoster does need to change to increase that space?
Thanks
Nothing, there is not actually a limit, as long as you have enough room on your hosting this can get as big as you want. There is no maximum limit
Thats why I’m asking. I have a lot of free space on my server, but still I can’t make zip files over 100mb and “Free space on disk containing Updraft’s temporary directory:” says I have 98MB.
I like to know where do I need to make room for that. Thanks
Hi,
Are you having issues with backing up your site? If yes, can you provide us a copy of the backup log please? We might be looking at the wrong cause of the issue.
Thanks,

Hello! The plugin is working, I have no real problems. Just wanto to have bigger zip files. I configured the plugin to split archives every 400MB but it gives me 100MB files. That why my first question.
Here is the first lines of the log.

I have total access to the server, I like to increase that so I can make bigger zip files.
Thanks!
Can you go to Settings>> show expert settings and change the value to 100. Please remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Save”
Hello
100MB files are already being created despite having set 400MB. What would be the point of changing the value to 100MB? I created this whole thread because I would like to be able to have files larger than 100MB. Maybe I’m not explaining myself well.
Thanks
If you want the files at 400 MB, change the value to 400 MB instead of 400 MB
Can you take a screenshot of what you have set in Settings >> show expert settings >> split archives every
Can you also post your latest full backup log using a tool such as pastebin.com
