How to insert external link inside note or box?

    I’m trying to insert a shortcode “note” or a “box” like an ad in “Ad Inserter” and when I insert an external link with (a href=…) it’s adding part of my own domain link, like this: “https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/%E2%80%9Dhttp://www.externallink.com%E2%80%9D”

    It works ok if I do this directly on a post, but I can’t figure out how to do it inside Ad Inserter. This also happens with (img src=”…”) the same way

    Can anyone help me?
