how to insert table

    TablePress version 1.5.1
    WordPress 4.1 running Twenty Fifteen theme
    deactivated other plugins

    I installed TablePress. When I click Insert Table icon in page editor, I am taken to screen that says

    No tables found. You should add or import a table on the TablePress screens to get started

    when I type [table id=N /] into page editor visual or text, it just returns that phrase.

    I have searched FAQs, Documentation, and Forum. Please help me determine what I am doing wrong.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    In the main menu on the left, you should have a “TablePress” item. There, you can see a list of your tables (which will be empty) and links to screens where you can create new tables or import them from a file.
