Hi there,
Did you happen to change any setting in Manage enqueued Files tab? It seems like you’re having just one file for every minify string that’s why there are 7 blocking CSS.
There are many JS and CSS files showing under Manage enqueued files tab. I don’t know what I am supposed to do here. Do I have to confirm action what is appeared under position tab or something else? I tried that also but after saving the line appears again in the table.
Check the textarea input to your right (right next to the table). If you see a lot of handles inside “Scripts to stay at original positions” or “Scripts to not minify”, just remove them from the textarea and press Save changes.
I removed all files from drop down of test areas. I did save and refresh the page. The table shows lots of files under manage enqueued JS files and Manage enqueued CSS files. What I need to do?
The table will always show you a list of enqueued files detected by BWP Minify, so that’s normal.
Take a look at the Position column of each table and if you see “minified in header” or “minified in footer”, you’re good to go.
I am seeing 6 options in the table.
1) minified at original
2) ignored at original
3) minified in header
4) ignored in header
5) minified in footer
6) ignored in footer
What actions I need to take with each of the position? How will it improve my page speed insight score? How do I leverage browser caching for these scripts?
To improve insight score you should combine more files together, which means you should mostly see “minified in footer/header” in the table.
What is the current value of “One minify string will contain” setting (in BWP Minify > General Options > Plugin functionality?) 10 is recommended.
