    Hi all,

    Hoping you can guide me….

I’m using the User Registration & Membership plugin and the User Submitted Posts plugin – https://en-gb.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/user-submitted-posts/

In the User Submitted Posts settings I have it ticked so the user has to login to post, and have added the registration shortcode to a page… but when they click the link, it seems to take them to a WordPress based link to log in first – “Please log in to submit content!”. When I click that, it takes me to the User Registration Plugins Login page…

Ideally, the behaviour I want is when a user clicks the “submit a post” link I have made, it takes them to the plugin login page not the WordPress one first.

Hope this makes sense… any help appreciated! below is the first link they see and when clicked, it then takes user to the login page from this plugin…

    Hi @kman321,

If you want to redirect users to a specific page after login, please check this documentation: https://docs.wpuserregistration.com/docs/how-to-redirect-to-a-specific-page-after-login/. It provides step-by-step instructions to create a login page with redirection. You can use either the Shortcode or the Gutenberg Block method as explained in the guide.

    I hope this helps! 😊

    Best regards!

Hi, I am not looking to redirect after login, this is before login. Please see original post for explanation.

    Hi @kman321,

    Hi [Name],

    Thank you for the information.

Based on what you’ve shared, the feature you mentioned does not appear to be related to the User Registration plugin. Instead, it seems the issue might be with your configuration, as the redirection is happening through a custom button link you created.

Could you please share a screenshot of your current configuration and the link to the page where the login option is located? We’ll review it and get back to you as soon as possible.

    Best regards,

    Hi, it’s just a menu link to a page – https://moreverylittlehelps.com/submit-a-post/

When the user clicks the above link, I want them to be taken to the User Registration plugin (if not already logged in), not the default WordPress “Please log in to submit content!” – I belive this wording to be from the Plugin though?

This is a test site currently, I’m playing around with the features before I setup a real site.

    Hi @kman321,

As we guessed the issue is in your configuration, the login link is redirecting to the default login page. For your confirmation, please check this screenshot: https://ibb.co/twKNppBc. As you can see, the link is set to redirect to the default login page, which is why users are being taken there.

There are two possible solutions for you:

    1. Share Your Current Configuration Screenshot
Please share a screenshot of your current configuration, so we can provide the appropriate suggestion on how to replace the default login page link with the User Registration login page link.
    2. Hide the Default Login Page
You can also hide the default login page and replace it with the User Registration login page. This method also helps prevent spam registrations and improves your site’s security. For more details, please check this documentation:
      https://docs.wpuserregistration.com/docs/how-to-hide-the-wordpress-default-login-page-and-use-user-registration-login-page/

I hope this information helps 🙂

    Hi @kman321,

We’ve checked the login option on this page: https://moreverylittlehelps.com/submit-a-post/, and it is successfully redirecting to the login page you created using the User Registration & Membership plugin.

If you’re looking to fully customize the login link or replace it with the default WordPress login, please note that this feature is handled by the User Submitted Posts plugin. Since the login functionality is provided by their plugin, it’s not possible to customize it from our end.

However, if you’d like to restrict access to the page or specific content, our plugin does offer basic content restriction features, even in the free version. You can learn more about it here: https://docs.wpuserregistration.com/docs/content-restriction/

If you were referring to something else, kindly record a quick screen video clearly showing what you’re trying to achieve (with no distractions), or share a detailed written explanation. This will help us better understand your needs.

Once we receive your recording or explanation, we’ll get back to you with the appropriate solution as soon as possible.

    Hi @kman321,

You can achieve this by using the content restriction features. In the free version, you can apply basic restrictions, such as partial content restriction and global restriction settings. For advanced restriction options, you’ll need the premium version.

For more details, please check our documentation here: https://docs.wpuserregistration.com/docs/content-restriction/

You can also add a custom restriction message along with the login form shortcode to prompt users to log in before accessing the page.

    Best regards!
