• Hi! I have a curious question: imagine that I used multiple user role feature and toggled needed roles. Then I suddenly unchecked Administrator role and checked Subscriber role. (actually, I experimented with this on a temporary test website 🙂 ) In result I totally lost access to Admin role and all the website management is denied. What should I do in such situation? How to regain Admin access? As far as I can see reset tweak like this https://site.com/?reset-for=Admin applies to “View admin as role” feature and not to “multiple user role”?

@edviser good catch! In the next release, the ‘Administrator’ checkbox will be set in a disabled state, so it can not be unchecked. Thanks for bringing this up!

Thank you, Bowo! I viewed the image with Admin box disabled. Yeah, this will be perfect solution and surely will protect users from such a nasty situation. By the way, I want to say extra thanks for such a brilliant plugin! I’ve already posted 5 stars review on it. It’s totally awesome!

@edviser great. Please note that if you’re editing another user’s profile, not your own, the ‘Administrator’ checkbox is active (not disabled). So, you can still assign and unassign the Administrator role for other users, which is the desired behaviour.

Thanks for the really nice review and kind words. Glad to hear it and know that you enjoy using ASE! 😀
