How to remove plugin manually
-
My site was broken and I was getting major errors. Here is the error:
The error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /MY ROOT/wp-content/plugins/grand-media/inc/core.php on line 2001
Furthermore when I logged into my phpMyAdmin to repair and optimize my WordPress database, I was getting all kinds of errors. Something was wrong with my database.
After contating my hosting company they told me this GMedia Gallery and itsec_lockouts, itsec_log, and itsec_temp uses MyISAM but the rest of my WordPress uses InnoDB. Which means I have a mixture of storage engines. Maybe its because I used my CPanel Quick Install on this installation (won’t do that again manual seems to be better).
I was able to disable all plugins to get the site back up, then enable all plugins except GMedia and the site now shows fine. But if I try and uninstall GMedi Gallery in the Plugins area I get this error again. Meaning I cannot remove it from from plugins list and my database.
Is it possible to manually remove GMedia Gallery Plugin manually from file and database? How can I find all the possible database tables as this is a scary propsition? Also, what is the itsec_ plugin and how can I remove that? Is itsec_ part of GMedia.
I use GMedia on many of my WordPress sites and have never seen this. But for some reason my database tables are not supporting. Please help me remove this problem.
