    Hi,
    I’m trying to remove the plugin. I have disabled all settings, purge the cache, deactivated and deleted the plugin, removed the wp-content/uploads/siteground-optimizer-assets folder and set define( ‘WP_CACHE’, false );
    But nothing, it’s haunted: whenever I make a change on a page the user keep seeing the old version. The only way is to instal the plugin again and purge the cache.
    How should I safely remove the plugin and stopping this caching nightmare? ç___ç
    thank you

  • The plugin does only part of the job, you have caching options under your SiteGroud account as well. Check there.

    @kramarz on mysitearea I can’t find a way to disable the cache, just to clean it, but I have to do everytime a post / page is updated

    The SG Optimizer does not leave anything behind. That line disabling cache is probably from WP Rocket if you have ever tested it out. SG Optimizer only needs to be deactivated and deleted.

    SiteGround now has Dynamic caching ON by default. So I would remove and uninstall every other performance plugin and keep the SG Optimizer with the automatic cache purge enabed. In addition to that, check your .htaccess and wp-config.php files for leftovers from other plugins like browser caching lines, wp-cache declarations, etc.
