Hey @wpfan1000,
This has been a constant pain for me. And I’ve had to struggle with this too but I couldn’t find a better way to archive this in Block Editor.
Here’s how I personally do it: https://www.loom.com/share/7f8446cafcfd430ba52923a7e2214714
Let me know if you think this helps. Thanks for the feedback. As a new plugin, we want to know such feedbacks so we can think outside of our own mind and see how a user uses our plugins.
Thanks for taking the time to create that loom screen capture.
Very good support!
That is a good way to select difficult-to-select blocks.
For what it’s worth, I have been evaluating different block editors and 2 of the leading ones do make it easy to select container blocks.
One of them has an outline/border of the container always showing and clicking on this border selects the container.
I only mention it not as a criticism of your plugin, but that it is possible to code this (although it may be difficult to code).

We had an outline border actually but it didn’t really do much with how Gutenberg involved and change its style. It’s obviously a problem so big that Gutenberg has a select-mode specially dedicated to this: https://nimb.ws/2qt6iM 🙂

We need criticism. I don’t think criticism is a bad word. Criticism can be positive and very helpful to us in improving the plugin. 🙂
