How To Set Up Carousel

I am trying trying set up the carousel I read the docu. and I saw the video twice (even tho its for older version of wordpress)
1.) I select carousel
2.) I click “source media”, it drops down I select the images
3.) I have about 6-8 Images I want to show. (does the option “Limit”, for set number of images have anything to do with it, i set it for more than what I am importing?)
4.) Anyway I just leave the settings default, (from thinking im not setting it up correctly, lol), and then in preview the images look great just how I like it.
5.) “Insert Shortcode” but when I select this option the carousel doesn’t work? When I change the setting it shows all images on the page “meaning all 6 images pasted on the page in perfect view”.
What Am I doing wrong here lol?…”Im assuming its me lolm even tho with the docus and the video I copy exactly what you guys do line for line”
