• I’ve been so busy working everyone else’s websites that I forgot to update my own for a very long time.

I have version 4.1.1 and I don’t see an update option to the latest in the Admin. Should it be there, if so where? Not on the Dashboard or Updates.

What is the simplest way to update to the latest version of WP?

Thank you as always for your support.

    Best regards,
    Marc

    Hi,

It seem you have disable the wordpress update from your config.php file.
wordpress has automatically given a notification on every update on top bar.

if you are not able to see update notification icon so please check your config file.

    Thanks

As you have such an old version of WordPress, I’d recommend carrying out a series of smaller manual upgrades as the safest option rather than risking a huge auto-upgrade. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.

Thanks esmi, I have a backup so I’ll try the auto update first.

Ramiz, I have the wp-config.php file. What exactly am I looking for to enable auto updates?
