How do you validate Duplicator package? I have packages that I know cannot have the entire WordPress site intact, but they built without error. How can I confirm that the Duplicator package is valid?

  • Hey @marksat,

If you are simply wanting to compare files and you are on Windows you could use a tool like WinMerge. For Linux, you could use diff and meld.

If the build passes and you feel there are issues you may have a look at the log files see Tools > Diagnostics Tab > Logs to see if there are any warnings for the build.

    Hope that helps~

    Hi Cory,

Actually it is more ominous than simply wanting to compare files. WinMerge or diff isn’t going to help, since there is nothing to diff it against.

Why would a build “pass” if it really fails?

The log file is gigantic. What exactly should any of your users be searching for, to figure out if a build actually failed when it reports that it passed?

    Hey @marksat

If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue we can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.

    Thanks~
