Hi,

The release we pushed out on January 13 this year added support for HPOS (version 12.1.6). All versions after that support it too.

Mhh weird because when I try to activate the option in WooCommerce > Advanced > Features here is the message I get regarding plugins that are not yet compatible. This blocks me from enabling HPOS.

that sounds like you are on the paid Elite version and not the free PRO version?
