• Hi, I would like to use this format to loop out the links on my page to the “edit” page for each page listed in the sitemap:

    <a href="http://mywebsite.com/wp-admin/post.php?post={post_id}&action=edit">{title}</a>

No matter what I change in the box, I still get a basic link listed with the permalink as URL and title as the link text.

Is this a bug, or can I not do this?

    Thanks

    Jordan

    Hi jbergeson,
    thank you for your message.
I never thought of such an application for the sitemap, but it’s really interesting. In fact, the format of the link is a feature only designed for the “post” link. It does not work for the pages, the author pages, the category pages …

You can’t do it right now, except if you edit the source code of the plugin. Please, be aware that it’s not really good to edit the source code of the plugin, since any update of the plugin will replace your code.

I will have a look to add such a feature for all kind of links in the sitemap.

    I hope this may help.
    Sincerely,
    Tony
