.htacces change breaks CSS

    When I add the .htaccess redirect the site CSS is broken to such a state that it appears to be non-existent. The files seem to transfer correctly but the page displays as if there is no CSS. The file protection works correctly but the page display is broken. The protected file isn’t even displayed on the broken page.
