Hi keefe1958, of course it is true. You need to set the permission of .htaccess 644 after completion setup of Wp fastest cache.
Hi Emre
Thanks for your update. As I said when I set ‘.htacces’ permissions to “644” it says; “.htacces is not writable”, so does this mean it will not be caching my pages if set to this ?
Regards
Keith
In this case, you didn’t complete setup. What is the permission of public_html?
Hi Emre
I have just checked the permissions for ‘public_html’, this is set to; 750

Keith
hmmm. I thought that permission of public_html is not writable. Can you follow this steps?
!. make permission of .htaccess 777
2. Activate Plugin
3. make permission of .htaccess 644
Hi
I have done as you advised, just how do I know if its caching now ?
Keith
You can look at the source code of your page. At the buttom you can see. If you want, I can check your site.
Hi Emre
I would appreciate it if you can check for me as I’m not very up on coding.
Regards
Keith
It works 🙂

Hi Emre
Many many thanks for all your great help on this 🙂 I thought it may have been a wordpress plugin conflict as I have quite a lot of them.
Kindest Regards
Keith
