    Guys,
This has never happened to me before so it’s either a server side or WP side problem. I have seen quite a few such issues reported, but none of the solutions seems to make a difference.

WP is loaded into /wp directory. Performing a simple domain redirect assignment always worked for me before, but this installation gives me

    “this page has redirect loop

error. I have modified the config file and defined site address and it DOES work, provided I also remove .htaccess file from the site. However, this causes a mess in permalinks (I think) and while home page opens, none of the articles can be opened as they cause 404 – page not found error.

So I’m between hammer and anvil at this point. I’m assuming there is something I need to do with that .htaccess file (or permalinks perhaps), but am not sure what.

site address: http://darkroomapprentice.com (this may work depending on what I’m doing about the fix.

Let me add that a permalink reset does NOT make a difference.

And just to anticipate, this has started BEFORE any plugins (other than default ones) were installed

Problem has been solved by my host, however I’ve never found out what they did to fix it.

Case closed in a sense of my problem, but I think anyone with some input on this issue could still help somebody, especially since I do not know what was done to fix it.
