.htaccess not modified

    I have Redirection set to write the redirections to .htacess. However, that file is not being modified.

    I suspect it is the permissions. My .htaccess has permissions of 644. What should the permissions be?

    I have the same problem, just installed the plugin, and want to redirect the categories, I added all the redirections, but the plugin does not update the htaccess file.

    I figured for the htaccess to be updated, you gotta go to Groups tab, and edit your group redirect and set it to Apache Module.

    I have now adjusted all my groups to “Apache” but it has not transferred the links to htacces. Please advise.

    The reason is because the options page shows you the actual path of where the htaccess lives but it is not actually set. You have to type in that path and also teh file name. Then it works (along with setting the group to apache).

    The permissions should allow your server to write to the .htaccess file. The value on the options page should include the full path and filename.
