".htaccess not writeable" keeps showing

Hi,

I just installed the plugin; looks simple enough to set up and work with. However, I keep getting the pop-up error message to “Manually Modify .htaccess” because it’s not writeable. I followed the instructions on that pop-up and replaced everything from .htaccess with the content I copied from the pop-up message, yet the error keeps showing up.

Funny thing is the operations seem to execute in the background: when I clicked on “Delete Cache” I got a green bar on top, saying it was “Already deleted”.

Edited to add the error window only shows up when I’m on the WP Fastest Cache dashboard. If I click “Delete Cache” using the icon on top of all pages, it just shows a “loading” wheel for a short while and that’s it, no errors.
