    I read your post titled: How to change your WordPress Permalink Structure

    I would like to change my permalink structure from
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/ to /%category%/%postname%/.

    Your post WordPress SEO recommends using the tool in the above mentioned post for the htaccess file. However, I think that tool is only if your are changing your permalink to /%postname%/, right? What would the htaccess redirect be for /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/ to /%category%/%postname%/.
