    TLDR: Does the Media Cloud plugin ever attempt to rewrite htaccess files?

    Reason: We attempted to use W3 Total Cache to sync up our media library and S3 buckets, but we have a custom htaccess file for the site that Total Cache keeps overwriting, causing periodic site crashes. We’re looking for an alternative S3 solution that doesn’t utilize similar rewrites. MC looks very promising, but we’d like to get confirmation that this wouldn’t occur if possible. 😀

    No, it doesn’t use .htaccess rewrites. It hooks into WordPress at the point a URL for a media item is generated.
