    On some older comments we have content that looks like this:

    <blockquote cite="Another User">
    <cite>Another User</cite>
    A comment I'm responding to
    </blockquote>
    Hey here's my comment

    It seems to be filtering or stripping the HTML out on display without either the blockquote or the cite tags. Is there a way to allow this HTML in the comments on frontend display?

    Thank you!

    Hi @bozzmedia,
    There should not be such an issue. Please leave the example URL to allow us to check it.

    I think I’ve figured out the context, it’s when there is a Read More type of commment. YOu can see it via this link (click continue after the timer stops):

    When you click Read More it works fine, in the truncated version the formatting is lost. This may be unavoidable but if you have any tips to avoid this please let me know, thanks!

    Hi @bozzmedia,

    This is designed to work in this way. If the Read more is enabled, the HTML tags are removed, before display the comment content.
    You just need to disable the Read more, to make it work as you need(to display the HTML tags).

    Thanks for clarifying that functionality, really appreciate your help!
