Hi team, email notifications from Ninja Forms are sending as plain text body, not HTML. I don’t get any message headers, just HTML code: https://prnt.sc/UETj0WIpXrOX

I have tried enabling the checkbox to fix broken emails and clicked “resend” from the mail queue but I am still getting HTML code. Same issue for triggering a new form.

Only an issue when Post SMTP is enabled.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I have downloaded the PHP file you suggested, but I don’t see a way to add it through the plugin’s Extensions page, or instructions in the file on how/where to install it.

    Hi @kapow_interactive ,

    Thank you for your message.

The  html-addon can be installed just like a regular plugin via your WordPress dashboard. Please follow these steps:

    1. Go to WordPress Dashboard> Plugins> Add New
    2. Click on “Upload Plugin”
    3. Upload the PHP file (or ZIP file, if applicable)
    4. Click Install Now, then Activate

Once activated, it should integrate with the plugin functionality as intended.

If you run into any issues during installation, feel free to let us know and we’ll be happy to assist further.

No luck with the additional plugin unfortunately.

All form notifications show HTML like this, to customer and to admin.

    Hey @kapow_interactive,

I’m sorry to hear that the issue is still persisting.

Could you please share the diagnostic test report from the Post SMTP dashboard? This will help us investigate the issue more effectively.

Also, please let me know if the issue occurs when sending test emails. If possible, try testing with a different mailbox as well and share the results.

    Looking forward to your response.

The diagnostic report is shown above in the thread, but I have re-copied below.
The issue occurs on emails to WordPress Admin as well as emails to the people submitting the forms. Exactly the same results – HTML code is displaying.

I have run a “test email” to 2 different email addresses (business email with MS Exchange and a Hotmail) and neither of them have arrived in the inbox or to spam. Likely they have been filtered out by receiving server spam management. But both showed delivery to remote SMTP server.

    Hey @kapow_interactive ,

Thank you for sharing the requested information.

It appears that a mailer has not yet been configured in Post SMTP, and your site is currently sending emails using WordPress’s default wp_mail() function. This could be the reason why emails are either not being received or appear broken in Outlook.

I recommend configuring Post SMTP with your preferred mailer. You can follow our documentation for step-by-step guidance.

Once configured, please send a test email. This time, also try testing with a Gmail mailbox to compare the results.

Let me know how it goes or if you need any assistance along the way.
