html for links within Comments not working

I did a write-up on this problem, but then it occured to me that someone here might have a better solution. It is hard to search because “comment links” keeps coming up, which is an entirely different problem. My problem is that using the link function in the editor to create “” code does not work.

I will just copy what I wrote in my blog.

However, nothing will appear at all in the comments related to this link. You must edit the html to look like this:

Now the links work correctly. If anyone knows how to change this from within WordPress to make the Link function work correctly, please comment on how to do this.”
