    Hi,
    through SEO tools I found out, that all my pages on my wordpress claim to be en-US pages, though they rather should be de-DE pages.
    I am using DIVI theme & Polylang for bilingual page & Yoast
    de-DE is the main locale I need to use.
    I tried switching the language on the Settings tab of my site, where the language of page is weirdly “English” – but whenever I save after changing to Deutsch, the setting returns to English.
    This also appears to confuse Yoast, since the created data from Yoast result in the following:

    <meta property="og:locale" content="en_US">
    <meta property="og:locale:alternate" content="en_US">

    Can anyone help?

    Hello,

    There is an option in Divi which messes translations. I don’t remember where it is. Try with a default theme to check that the issue is coming from your theme. If it’s confirmed, look for this option an change it.

    Awesome – that was the missing link – I did a search with this information (I wasn’t sure, which of the plug-ins messed around there) – now I searched, and found this: Solution thread
    It is a setting in DIVI Themes:
    1. Go in admin to Divi -> Theme Options -> General
    2. Scroll down and find Disable Translations
    3. Click the slider to make it Disabled (gray)
    4. Save settings (save button is at the top and at the bottom of the page)

    Thanks a lot Chouby! 🙂
