We never thought HTML sitemaps to be part of SEO — at least, not something an SEO plugin should solve: our focus lies on indexing performance, and HTML sitemaps aren’t consumed by Google; they can even be seen as link spam. Instead, your site should primarily rely on proper navigation and anchor links. In the footer, many sites opt to create something similar to HTML sitemaps — but in WordPress, it is with the help of small custom widgets rather than a generated list.
