Not Sure if I am doing something wrong, but I can’t seem to see the HTML5 Player.
In the Settings, I have “Media Player Style” set to “HTML5 Player with Album Art”.
And then on a page, I use the “PODCAST_EPISODE” to display a specific podcast episode.
But it displays using the standard podcast player, not the HTML Player with the color options that I defined for it.
I know that the “Podcaast_Playlist” shortcode doesn’t work with the HTML5 player, but shouldn’t the “Podcast_Episode” work with the HTML5 player?
Is there something I am missing?
    Thanks.
    Michael

  • Hello @einstem,

There could be a few reasons for this:

    • You have not set the audio player to appear for the full content of an episode – you can change this in the Podcast -> Settings -> General area of your WP dashboard
    • Your episode audio file is a reference to a folder and not a specific file
    • The audio file is password protected
    • Your site is running on an IP address and not a domain name
    • You have a plugin installed that conflicts with the WordPress media player
    • If any of these are true for you then that will most likely be the reason that the audio player is not showing on your podcast episodes. Take a look to see if any of these solve you issue.
