When I want to open my self-hosted website via the WordPress iOS app, I get an HTTP 403 error. I get this message when retrieving media and pages\messages.

When I switch to 5G on my iPhone, retrieving etc. works in the app.
So it seems that something is blocked on my network. I have this on some networks and not on others (outside the home).

My website can be accessed via the browser. Does anyone else have this problem and does he know what I need to do to solve this? It is very annoying because I have to switch to my 5G all the time to be able to work from the WP app.

Sounds to me like a connection problem between your internet access and your hosting. I would recommend that you contact your hoster’s support team. They may be blocking access from certain IPs or IP ranges that also include your access.

I don’t think WordPress can help here, unless you use a security plugin in your project that could also trigger this blocking. In this case, I would recommend that you contact the support team for this security plugin.

    Hi @marijnvdgruiter,

Indeed, it seems like your host may be blocking certain IP ranges, so reaching out to them is a good next step. Also, check if any security plugins on your site are restricting API requests.

Additionally, if you’re comfortable sharing your site URL, we can check if anything stands out. Let us know what you find!

    Best regards,
    Alin
