This issue happened with any theme.
Do you have any plugins installed? Hosting environment? PHP version? You could supply more info.
What did you edit in functions.php? Where did you change memlimit and maxfilesize?

have you tried the standard procedure to troubleshoot, which is to switch your theme to a default (twenty…) unedited theme, and deactivate all your plugins.
If there is no problem it’s a theme or plugin problem.
Then reactivate your theme. If all is still OK reactivate one plugin at a time until the problem shows up again. Then you will know which plugin causes the problem.
You can delete the stuff you added to functions.php as it wasn’t meant for your case.

Define twenty… was a default theme, and remove all plugins… And the problem persist.
