I am unable to successfully upload a cover photo. I assume I will run into media upload issues elsewhere but haven’t got that far. It is an otherwise working site and I’ve never had an error uploading media before.

I googled the issue and can’t find any references to it that aren’t years old. The GD PHP extension is installed and the only other plugin with even remotely similar functionality that seems like it could squash Buddypress is bbpress. We have deactivated bbpress with the same result.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Update: upon further experimentation, I discovered that not following the instructions gives better results 😉

We are advised to use an image larger than 1300px and 225px tall.

However, if you do that, it will not work. An image of 1299px by 224px does work.

    Please advise.

Hi Janet, this support forum is for a plugin that relies on BuddyPress called BuddyPress Docs, not BuddyPress itself.

However, I checked my BP test site, and I’m able to upload ridiculously large cover photos with no issue (5000px square, 3.5MB). Could it be that the file that failed was over the upload size limit for your WordPress site or your server’s PHP setup?
