"HTTP Error" when uploading images: Flash and Browser

Can someone please assist with this issue? I have spent hours researching it and trying every solution offered in forums and on blogs across the web and nothing works.

I installed WP 3.0.1 yesterday at GoDaddy.com. The image uploader worked fine for several hours and then suddenly stopped. Every time I try to upload an image, I get an “HTTP Error” — whether I use the Flash or Browser upload.

I’m not the only one with this problem — there are literally hundreds of posts online from others also trying to resolve it — so there’s obviously an issue somewhere. I’ve tried altering the .htaccess file, clearing my cache and every other proposed solution but nothing works.

For what it’s worth, I have another site with WP 3.0 that does not have this issue but it seems to have been going on for many versions of WP, judging from the posts I’ve seen.

I’m on a Mac, using OSX 10.5.8. I usually work in Safari.

If anyone can suggest a solution, I would greatly, greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
