    Hi,

Nothing on the main site and subdomain (subfolder) installation is different (running the same version and all the same specs on the server are the same)

When I upload a file to the main site, I get an HTTP error, but the image eventually does show up (I have to switch ALL() to Images() or Unattached() and then it shows up in the library – so it’s there, just not showing up under images all the time right away)

When I try to upload an image to the subdomain, I get an http error, but no images are present in the library anywhere.

    Thanks

This is commonly caused by an over-aggressive configuration of your server’s mod_security module. Try asking your hosts about it.

If I use the browsermode I get the following (the file was in my documents folder, don’t know where it got the tmp from)

PHP Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(C:\WINDOWS\Temp\phpBC72.tmp) is not within the allowed path(s): (E:\inetpub\vhosts\xxxxxxxx.ca\httpdocs\xxxxxxx\) in E:\inetpub\vhosts\xxxxxxxx.ca\httpdocs\xxxxxxxx\wordpress\wp-includes\functions.php on line 1998

It’s a windows server, so there is no mod_security.

You still need to contact your hosts about the above server error message.

They didn’t change anything, but they did get it to upload, despite the HTTP errors and the PHP warning.

No clue why; but at least I can upload images now.
