Everytime I try to install site kit on citer.dk it goes to http – but site is https.

I have uninstalled site kit plugin, removed citer.dk from analytics, and startet all over, but the problem remains.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out @jomfruane. From checking your site and REST endpoints and I can see your site is fully secure, with http redirection in place. So we can determine more on what’s happening with your Site Kit set up please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. When you mention the plugin “goes to http – but site is https.” can you confirm that you’re redirected to a http version of your wp-admin dashboard?

If you are redirected to a http version of your wp-admin dashboard, what may have occurred, is Site Kit may have been set up at some stage when your site was not fully secure, with some site records using the non secure URL. If so, we may suggest you perform a plugin reset, but before proposing this please do share the above. Resetting the plugin will result in your site records being removed, however, you will need to connect all previously connected modules once more.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Another admin configured Search Console and you don’t have access to this Search Console property. Contact them to share access or change the Search Console property.

I found the above mentioned problem, when I tried to remove site kit acces to search console property.

I have changed my admin account and removed the old one.

I am not directed to a http wp-admin dashbord, the problem is in my google accounts.

Many thanks for sharing these additional details. From reviewing the details you kindly shared it looks like Site Kit is connected to the http version of your site, as you referenced. The error you just highlighted is also an error relating to the plugins “Dashboard sharing” feature.

In order to resolve this, you have a few different options. See below:

    1. You can click on the grey button highlighted here to verify ownership of the currently connected Search Console property (This will remain as the http version).
    2. You can disconnect your Google Account from Site Kit and connect once more. When connecting, you’ll then be using Site Kit to verify ownership of the currently connected property (This will remain as the http version).
    3. You can reset Site Kit and connect once more. This will reset the connected Search Console property. It will then use the https version of your site, given your site URLs are fully secure. Note that by resetting, you will need to connect all previously connected modules once more. I noticed that you’re the only connected administrator, so this won’t impact other administrators. (This will use a https property of your site)
    4. If you have access to the https version of the Search Console property, you can visit the plugins Search Console settings and switch the connected property to the https version (Site Kit > Settings > Search Console > Property). Note that other administrators that don’t have access to the https version may encounter similar errors to what to encountered if they don’t have access to the newly connected property. (This will switch the connected property from http to https)

Let me know if you need any assistance with the above, and keep me updated after trying any of the suggested actions.

Oh I somehow made it work by changing to G4 in analytics. Thanks anyway.

Glad to hear you managed to get it working. If you run into any further issues, or if you have any Site Kit queries be sure to get in touch. Best of luck with your site.
