Here’s the error: Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.mydomain.com/category/environmental/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://i0.wp.com/www.mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-testimonials/include/assets/img/mystery_man.png’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
Please help otherwise I am afraid that I’m going to have to disable the plugin, because it prevents the green secured padlock from showing up in my browser URL.
Hey mynameisme!
Sorry for the delay – you wrote in over the weekend and I rarely check these forums on the weekend.
The issue you are describing appears to be specific to using gravatars with the mystery man fallback image running through their site in non-HTTPS.
Currently, the fastest way to fix the “lock” on your site is to not use gravatars with the mystery man fallback. We’ll look into updating the fallback option on gravatars to using HTTPS in our coming update.
All the best,
Richard
Hello!
Upon further investigation, we find no issues inside the plugin.
The plugin builds the fallback URL for Gravatar using your site URL. If you have your site URL set to HTTPS, Gravatar will correctly use HTTPS in the fallback URL they return for the mystery man. If you have your site URL set to HTTP, Gravatar will use HTTP in the fallback URL (which is what is happening to you.)
The solution should be to verify that you have correctly set HTTPS as your Site URL and aren’t using any plugins or other methods to instead force mask it.
I hope that helps!
All the best,
Richard
