• I am using Godaddy SSL in my Buddypress website. If I paste a link
using your activity plus add links option, and if the link contains an image hosted in a non-https website, then my SSL padlock does not show up and shows the following message:

your connection to this site is not fully secure.

I think this happens because the image is severed from the original website that is not using HTTPS.The issue might be solved if activity plus creates a local thumbnail and show it in the activity stream instead of showing the images directly from the non-SSL websites,

    Thank you.

    Hello sixthgalaxy,

Yes, that is exactly issue here. Images are pulled from the original site. So if image is on site without ssl it will be served like that.

I will ask developer if there are any plans of changing that.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hello sixthgalaxy,

I spoke with developer and there is no plans of changing that because in that way you also add videos and embedded links. Those could not be changed to ssl – so even if images would be, then you will still have the same exact issue with other resources.

    kind regards,
    Kasia
