• Hello:

When WP Fastest Cache is enabled on the first page load of the site it does not work https:// and browser indicates site is non-secure. If we refresh (reload) the site or just visit any other page the https:// and SSL works fine with WP Fastest Cache. When WFC plugin is disabled the initial non https:// and SSL issue goes away. Is there some setting we are missing here? Sorry I know there have been other posts about SSL issues on homepage but I could not find a solution given by the developer.

    Thanks for your help!

Yes the wp settings are both set https:// if I disable WP fastest cache the site loads https:// & good SSL status on all browsers first and all other pages loads. If WP fastest cache is enabled then the first page load of the site has SSL https:// non-secure badge icon on Firefox, Chrome and Edge, etc.

If you search for SSL not working on first page load wp cache plugin you will see what I’m talking about. Mabye a plugin like really simple SSL would fix this or perhaps there is an adjustment to the .htaccess that can fix this initial page load ssl issue?

can you try another cache plugin please to be sure that the problem is caused by wp fastest cache?

The issue goes away when WP Fastest Cache plugin is disabled or if the cache is purged while the plugin is active. I tested w/ default settings Litespeed cache plugin and do not have any issues with https:// SSL not working on the initial page load of the site homepage.

Sorry. I actually do see initial page load SSL not secure issue w/ Litespeed plugin as well. As soon as homepage is reloaded/refreshed in browser the connection for the homepage is secure status SSL good in the browser bar. So I guess it’s a caching issue causing SSL non secure on the initial page load of site.

if Litespeed causes the issue either, it means that something is not compatible with the cache plugins. you need to find and fix it.
