I suggest that the developers change the links over to HTTPS or at least add an option to toggle between HTTPS and HTTP because on secured websites this plugin will be blocked due to the incompatibility of the content.

Hi,
On the next release the protocol (http || https) for the YouTube API calls will be retrieved by the origin; if the running page is under HTTPS all the calls to the API will be under the same protocol.
