Improve import process

Issue

As an admin, I want to import Mailchimp Campaigns in different ways.
- Import my campaigns, all at once (current implementation)
- Import one or many specific campaigns
- Import only new campaigns
- Update existing campaigns
Suggested solution
1. Display Mailchimp Campaigns in filtreable and sortable list in WordPress Admin
2. Add a checkbox to select one or to many Mailchimp Campaigns
3. Add dropdown to trigger bulk actions on selected campaigns
Please, feel free to suggest ideas or alternative to improve the import process.

These are all good suggestions from your side. Importing from a specific folder on Mailchimp could be an option?

Anyway, I am facing a different issue. I have over 30 sent campaigns on Mailchimp. But the plugin is currently pulling only 10 and showing the message ’10/10 campaigns have been imported’. Could you please help me with that? I need to pull all campaigns.

We are seeing this same problem, where the plug-in only pulls 10 campaigns. I am not good enough with php/json to find the logical error, but it seems like a single-integer problem.

I’m also only able to import 10 campaigns even though there are 14 completed campaigns in my account.

Hi guys, thank you for your message and sorry for the inconvenience.
I have fixed this limit of 10 campaigns on import.

I am currently doing a new release 3.1.5 which should appear very soon in your WordPress dashboard.

It will load ALL campaigns again, so please be patient while we talk to the Chimp… and don’t forget you might encounter timeout during the process (this issue is not fixed yet).

Hi Matthieu

Thanks for working on this. I updated to 3.1.5 today but getting this error message –

Error during pull operation:cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5003 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Please help.

This issue with timeout was previsible.
I think you already comment on another thread about it.

Could you please open a separated bug for your “timeout issue”?

I think it is better to keep this current thread focused on its purpose which is “Improve the import process”

I love option 3. It would be a real game changer for if we could manually select which campaigns (for us, its mostly newsletters that we’re interested in bringing in) to import instead of importing EVERYTHING, everytime we import. Maybe I’m doing something wrong and it is possible to exclude existing campaigns from new imports?

@dramtech thank you for your comment. You are not doing anything wrong. It is unfortunately just not possible to exclude campaigns from new imports as of today 🙁

FYI I am working on a premium version of this plugin which will provide this feature (and more).
