@elementarycreative Thanks for sharing this. Could I please check the following with you:
1. What is the full URL on the page where you land back on when encountering this message? I ask as it may contain a site reference from a previous attempt, or even from another wp-admin path or domain if these was changed from a previous setup.
2. Do you recall having set up Site Kit previously on this site? If so it may have been from a different URL before migrating, when using a different wp-admin path, or from a staging site.

And yes actually I think you’re right. This site has moved across two different staging domains and now is on the same server as the last staging domain except with the A records from the topselection.co.uk pointing at it.

@elementarycreative Thanks for confirming this. I suspect then that you set up Site Kit previously on one of these previous staging domains is that correct? If so then would it be possible to revert back to this and perform a Site Kit reset?

We can also perform a check on the Site Kit service at your records to see if there is indeed a mismatch that we can correct for you if needed.

Unfortunately not as this site was the staging site that now has the domain pointing to it through its A records.

Is there another way to reset?

@elementarycreative No problem I understand. One other option you could try before I request a check on your records is the following:
1. Visit your site settings (Settings > General).
2. Change your site address (URL) and WordPress address (URL) from https://www.topselection.co.uk/ to https://topselection.co.uk/ (removing a www prefix).
3. Press the save button.
4. Attempt Site Kit setup once more after logging back into your site.
Let me know how you get on after attempting the above. If you are able to proceed, you can perform the reverse of the above, to ensure your site is using the www prefix. Site Kit will recognize this as a URL change, so you will need to set up the plugin once more.

If you are unsuccessful with this or are not comfortable doing this then I will request a check on your records but this could take some time.
