    This plugin is nice and simple for adding social sharing buttons, but I had to make a few changes so that it plays well with SSL/https. The only button I can’t get to work with SSL is the Hacker News one. It seems to do a base64 decode for the icon image, which somehow is treated as an external resource, making SSL show that there are unencrypted resources being loaded.

    I’d like to see a future version that plays nice with SSL.
