    Hello Elementor team,

I’m reaching out to investigate an issue that recently affected several pages on our website.

We use HubSpot forms embedded via the standard HTML block, like this:

    <script src=”https://js.hsforms.net/forms/embed/%5B…%5D.js&#8221; defer></script>
    <div class=”hs-form-frame” data-region=”na1″ data-form-id=”[…]”
    data-portal-id=”[…]”></div>

Suddenly, these forms stopped displaying across multiple pages, even though no changes were intentionally made to the HTML. After replacing the embed code with the HubSpot developer version, the forms started showing correctly again.

We contacted the Essential Addons team, and they confirmed their plugin doesn’t interact with this type of embed, and no recent update would affect this behavior. They suggested the issue might be related to how Elementor handles HTML blocks or a potential manual change in the page structure.

We don’t have access to detailed revision logs that show what was modified in Elementor. So we’d like to ask:

    • Could this issue be caused by changes in how Elementor renders or interprets HTML blocks?
    • Is there a way to check if manual edits were made within Elementor that could have affected these embedded scripts?
    • Are there any known issues affecting embedded forms like this?

We appreciate any guidance you can provide to help us clarify the cause of this issue.

    Thank you!
    Gabriela

  • Hello @gabrielamaciel29,

Thank you for reaching out. I’m Richard from the Elementor Team, and I hope you are doing well. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing.

There have been a few incidents where the Hubspot code was no longer working; however, I can confirm that newer versions of Elementor do no render HTML code differently then it did before. Have you tried adding the previous code on a native WordPress page?

The above cases were likely being caused by a third-party factor such as plugins or the specific environment.

If there’s anything else we can help you with, please feel free to let us know!

    Best regards,
    Richard

Hello @richardk23 thank you for your response!

We’ve continued our investigation and wanted to share the most likely root causes based on all the evidence so far. We’d really appreciate your insight to confirm whether these hypotheses sound reasonable from your perspective:

    1. Manual HTML block alteration
During our checks, we found that the HubSpot embed code used in several pages had been changed or was no longer functioning properly. After replacing it with the developer version of the embed code, the forms reappeared as expected. This suggests that the issue may have been caused by a manual change in the HTML block—possibly through Elementor or another page editor. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to trace who made the change or when, due to limited historical logs.
    2. Server or security interference
We recently implemented extra security measures on our WordPress environment (after blocking brute-force attacks), including two-factor authentication for users. While the changes were applied about a week before the issue began, we can’t rule out the possibility that these security settings may have blocked some external scripts or altered how embedded content was loaded.

We understand that Elementor itself hasn’t changed how HTML blocks are rendered in recent updates, but given these two scenarios, we’re trying to identify which one is more plausible—or if there’s anything else we might be missing.

Thanks again for your support and for helping us narrow this down.

    Best regards,
    Gabriela

    Hi Gabriela,

Thank you for the detailed investigation and update.

Both scenarios you’ve identified are plausible, but based on your findings, the manual HTML block alteration seems more likely to be the primary cause since replacing the HubSpot embed code resolved the issue.

The security measures you implemented could potentially interfere with external scripts, but this would typically affect all embedded content consistently rather than specific HubSpot forms.

To help prevent future occurrences, I’d recommend documenting any changes made to HTML blocks and considering user role permissions if multiple people have editing access to your site.

Since the issue is resolved with the new embed code, I’d suggest monitoring your forms over the next few days to ensure they continue functioning properly.
